I know many of you, or your kids, from having been a CYT parent for 10+ years with my youngest having 'graduated' in 2021. In addition to being a CYT parent I have been in IT management for many years and work in that capacity at Awana Clubs International. Personally, I began acting in early childhood in a youth theater program very similar to CYT. I continued learning the arts as a theatre major in college, and after many years of not using those skills, God provided CYT as an answer to prayer. It has been a gift to be able to teach and direct a number of classes and shows. Simply said, this organization has been a blessing to me, personally, and to my family. It is my great passion to share the gift of the arts with my students as they discover and learn about God's gifts and using them for creative expression.

I found CYT through a church friend that invited our family to see a production of “The Wizard of Oz”. My husband and I were amazed at the quality of the show, but more so, the heart of the organization. They didn’t know a company existed that so beautifully blended the performing arts to reflect the beauty of Jesus. 12 years and countless shows later, my life has never been the same. I’m so excited to return to my first love…teaching! My prayer for those that participate in this class is that they will walk away with a greater understanding of who God is and how He uniquely designed each of us to use our gifting for the good of those around us and for His glory alone. My favorite role I’ve ever played is wife to my husband of 30 years (and high school sweetheart) and mom to 2 incredible young women, Tahlia and Ella. I also loves my goofy mutts Scout and Alfie even though they shed an absurd amount of hair on the daily!
