Description

This is the perfect class for the student that desires to go more in depth with their dance experience. You’ll learn fundamental elements that are typically used in ballet style choreography while also learning the groups of muscles used for performing ballet. The students will also get to explore narratives of full-length classical ballet, along with ballet’s role in musical theater. The goal of this class is to have students leave with an understanding of how their body was designed to move, maintain posture, and balance gracefully while also being able to dance with much style and elegance.

Angelique Ballasch

Angel has been involved with CYT as both a parent and audience participant for the past 10 years. She possesses a love for dance and has 13 years of classical training in the Cecchetti method of ballet. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Columbia College Chicago. As a wife and homeschool mom, she enjoys teaching her children through fun and engaging outings and activities. She also enjoys working, alongside her family, for Greenroom Improv on weekends. Displaying Christ through the performing arts is a passion she shares with CYT and is excited to be able to share her God given talents and abilities with others.
