Description

In this two-session audition class, take your Improv knowledge and skills to the next level.  You will become a master of character, objective, relationship and environment, learn the importance of saying YES to your scene partners, and create a strong ensemble of players in your chapter.  Improv team will compete at Improvapalooza (June 14th) vying for the coveted Lamp Trophy!  So get ready to broaden your horizons and engage your creativity!  The fee for Improvapalooza will be added to the spring registration charge.

**Please note that if you are not selected for the Improv Team in the DuPage chapter, you may not Audition for the Improv Team in the Aurora chapter, and vice versa.**
  • Improv Team is a two-session commitment.
  • Participation in this class is through audition only.
  • Teams will be between 4-8 members.
Auditions will be held on Saturday, October 26th at Wellspring Alliance Church from 2:00pm-4:00pm

Caleb Sjogren

Caleb Sjogren trained in various aspects of stagecraft at Carthage College. He incorporated his passions for worship and creative arts into Abel's Offering, a traveling music/comedy performance team. He later became the founder and first artistic director of the Bill Booth Theatre Company. He has taught and coached acting and improvisation for children, teens, and adults. In addition to occasional forays into local community productions, Caleb performs and teaches regularly with Westside Improv in Wheaton. Caleb joins the CYT teaching staff in 2022, eager to lead these young people into deeper knowledge of themselves, each other, and their Creator.
