In this exciting class for ages 13-18, you’ll learn to bring music to life using American Sign Language (ASL), drama, and lyrical dance. Through expressive movement and signing, students will explore storytelling, emotion, and creativity while working on a theme that ties it all together. Whether you’re a seasoned performer or brand new to ASL or theatre, this class offers a unique blend of artistry, language, and performance. AmyJo Saller

Homeschool/Montessori teacher. Alumni CYT parent in Lake County IL Amy Jo Saller attended the College of Lake County, Grayslake, IL with an Associate of Arts degree and then graduated from Barat College, Lake Forest, IL with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Cum Laude. Amy Jo has worked with families with special needs children over the years, several of whom communicated via sign language. She has always enjoyed foreign languages, but her favorite is by far American Sign Language! She currently tutors students in ASL at Veritas Music and Learning Center, Gurnee, IL as well as private tutors (via Zoom) from her home. Amy Jo and her husband, Randy homeschool their three children. All three of their children have participated or are currently involved in CYT in both Lake and Kenosha Counties.
