Nine years ago, my family was introduced to CYT and we fell in love with the program, the people and most importantly, the Mission. I started teaching with CYT in 2019 and have taught various classes including Musical Theater, Actor’s Workshops, and vocal classes in the Lake and McHenry Chapters. I was the Assistant Director for the McHenry Chapter’s Winter 2020 production of James and the Giant Peach. I also served as the Production Coordinator Assistant for McHenry’s Mulan production. I served for two years as Kenosha's Chapter Coordinator and as the Production Coordinator for Kenosha/Lake. I am very excited to be returning to the classroom in Kenosha! I have a Bachelor's degree in English and a Master's degree in Higher Education Administration, both from Purdue University, and currently work as a High School Mentor with Wisconsin Virtual Academy. Music and theater have been passions of mine since high school and continued throughout college. While at Purdue, I participated in the Purdue Repertory Dance Company, the PMO Bell Choir, Purdue Symphonic Band, and the Lafayette Civic Theater. I also choreographed a high school show choir for six years, directed my home church’s children’s choir and bell choir. After college, I married the love of my life. We have two children, one who is actively involved with CYT and has been in 16 productions. Over the last 20 plus years, I have been a vocalist with one of our church’s contemporary worship bands, directed a flute choir and the bell choir, directed several VBS programs, and served as a pre-school Sunday school teacher, a high school Sunday School teacher, and Sunday School superintendent. I’m so excited for this season of CYT!!!
